Kill processes using awk
furmz: Ok, I’m going to write this one here because every time I need to kill things like this, I need to fiddle around to refresh my memory. kill -9 `ps aux | grep PROCESSNAME | grep -v grep | awk '{print $2}'` Just replace PROCESSNAME with the process you want to kill. In my instance today, I had to kill about a hundred wput instances because of a stupid typo in my conf. Do you know pkill?
